How connected are you to the people you work with? Are you fully present and engaged, or do you ‘check your soul’ at the door?
This week we’re getting contagiously human with speaker, trainer and leadership expert Celeste Halliday.
Celeste is passionate about helping organizations and individuals improve their performance and build brilliant cultures. She works with clients including LinkedIn, Guardian Media, MYOB, ANZ, Culture Amp, Buzzfeed, Movember, and NAB.
As a qualified psychotherapist, an experienced executive and former leader of a team of 2000 people, she knows exactly what works and what doesn’t when it comes to great leadership and culture!
In this conversation, Celeste and I discuss what it means to be ‘contagiously human’ – that is, to bring your whole self to work, be fully present with others, and connect with them on a deep level.
As you’re about to discover, it requires a level of vulnerability, self-inquiry, and willingness to be open and curious to others’ behaviors. Creating deep connections like this may be out of your comfort zone, but it’s key to fostering stronger and more meaningful relationships in the workplace, leading to higher levels of productivity and performance.
Celeste also shares her own journey of letting go of perfectionism and need to be ‘bulletproof’, being vulnerable and sharing her full self at work. Listen to the episode to hear her full story!
