Pause Fest is Australasia's premier innovation event. It was held in Melbourne last week over 3 days of different themes -- Creativity, Tech and Business. I attended the event as a presenter for That Startup Show -- which meant I had the pleasure of meeting the guest speakers and interviewing them for the show. We grabbed each speaker as soon as they finished their presentation, and did a 4-5 minute interview with them. Because the interviews were being edited and published immediately, we … [Read more...]
Unboxing the Zoom H5 Handy Digital Recorder
I got myself a new toy. It's called the Zoom H5 Handy Recorder. If you just exclaimed "Uh, speaker ze English, plees!"... ...the Zoom is a device for recording audio. "But Christina, your iPhone can do that!" Yes, yes, I know. But I wanted to go next level. Since starting podcasting in 2013, I've been using the Roland R-05 Digital Recorder, until the poor little thing recently started malfunctioning. So I decided to UPGRADE!! instead of paying $100 an hour to get it repaired. Here's a … [Read more...]

Benefits of Bikram with Jade Hall of Bikram Yoga Ascot Vale [Founder Friday]
Meet Jade Hall, director and owner of Bikram Yoga Ascot Vale. I've been practicing at BYAV the last few weeks, and have been so impressed I HAD to feature her on Founder Friday! How I Got Pat Flynn To Say ‘Yes’ To My Podcast Interview
In April 2014, I tweeted Pat Flynn a video, asking him to be a guest on my podcast. He said yes within minutes. This is how I did it. Pat Flynn of SmartPassiveIncome.com has been one of my biggest influences since starting my blog and podcast. I was fortunate enough to meet him in San Diego at the Social Media Marketing World conference. "If there is anything I can do to help, just ask," he had said, as he handed me his business card. I stared at the card. Need help? it read. Email pat at … [Read more...]
